Truly You LLC is a coaching and consulting company that creates meaningful experiences and opportunities for women of color, daughters of immigrants, and first-generation students.

We help ambitious women of color and daughters of immigrants transform the ideas, skills, and expertise they already carry into meaningful opportunities and additional income streams without quitting their careers or doing it alone.

Through coaching, consulting, workshops, retreats, and training programs, we create spaces where women can explore what’s possible, challenge limiting beliefs, turn their ideas into action, and build lives and careers on their own terms.

We also partner with schools and nonprofits to design and deliver workshops, retreats, leadership development, and wellness programs that support first-generation and students of color. Our work creates space for students to explore identity, confidence, leadership, career pathways, possibility, and the future they want to create.

At the heart of Truly You is a belief that personal and professional transformation begins from within. We help people reflect, grow, recognize their strengths, challenge the expectations and limitations that may be holding them back, and take meaningful steps toward the lives they envision.

We believe this work has a generational impact. When women of color, daughters of immigrants, and students of color are empowered to see themselves differently, pursue their ideas, lead authentically, and create new possibilities, that impact extends beyond the individual.

Our Story

We are Dilim Dieke and Dipabali Chowdhury, first-generation daughters of immigrants and the founders of Truly You LLC, a coaching and consulting company created from our own journey of learning how to build lives and careers that feel true to who we are.

Our paths have been shaped by the complexities of growing up between cultures. We know what it feels like to love and honor our families while also navigating the expectations placed on us. We’ve experienced the tension between living the lives we dreamed of and following the paths our immigrant parents hoped would provide us with stability and success.

For a long time, we struggled with what it meant to define success for ourselves.

We felt the pressure to choose the safe path. To be grateful. To achieve. To make our families proud. And even when we were successful on paper, we knew there was something more we wanted to explore.

We also realized that some of the biggest barriers weren't external—they were internal.

We had to do the work of understanding who we were, what mattered to us, and what was actually holding us back. We explored our values, strengths, motivations, fears, and limiting beliefs. We began to recognize the beliefs we had inherited and the expectations we had internalized.

We unlearned. We relearned. We grew.

And through that process, we became more confident in our voices and more willing to create paths that felt authentic to us.

And then we decided to build something of our own.

Truly You was born out of that journey.

But we didn't quit our careers and jump into entrepreneurship full-time.

We built Truly You alongside our full-time careers and demanding workloads.

We started with an idea, made space for it in the margins of our already-full lives, and learned how to turn our expertise and experiences into something meaningful.

There were moments of uncertainty. Moments when it would have been easier to wait. Moments when we questioned whether we had enough time, enough experience, or enough clarity.

But we kept going.

We built our coaching and consulting practice while continuing to navigate our careers. We learned how to identify opportunities, create offerings, have conversations, build relationships, and turn our ideas into real work.

And eventually, those small steps led to something we once could only imagine:

We secured a five-figure partnership with a major university.

That experience reinforced something we deeply believe:

You don't have to have everything figured out before you start.

You don't necessarily have to quit your job.

You don't need a perfect business plan.

And you don't have to choose between the career you've built and the possibilities you're curious about.

Sometimes, you can start with what you already know, what you already have, and what you already carry and build from there.

What Truly You Is Today

Today, Truly You LLC is a coaching and consulting company that creates meaningful opportunities for women of color, daughters of immigrants, and first-generation students.

For women, we provide coaching, consulting, workshops, retreats, and experiences that help them explore their identities, challenge limiting beliefs, recognize the value of their skills and expertise, and transform their ideas into meaningful opportunities and additional income streams—without having to do it alone.

For schools, universities, and nonprofits, we provide workshops, retreats, leadership development, and wellness programming designed to support first-generation and students of color as they navigate identity, confidence, leadership, career pathways, and their vision for the future.

At the center of both sides of our work is the same question:

What becomes possible when you give yourself permission to become more fully YOU?

We believe transformation starts from within. It requires reflection, courage, and a willingness to question the beliefs and expectations that may have shaped us.

But transformation isn't only personal.

We believe it can be generational.

When a woman decides to pursue an idea she's been afraid to explore, when she creates an opportunity for herself, when a first-generation student begins to see themselves as capable of a future they once couldn't imagine—the impact can extend far beyond that individual.

That is why we do this work.

Truly You is about helping people come home to themselves, recognize what they already carry, and create the courage and clarity to do something with it.

We know what it feels like to wonder if there's something more.

We know what it feels like to build while working a full-time job.

We know what it feels like to carry family expectations, cultural expectations, and our own dreams all at once.

And we know what can happen when you finally give yourself permission to explore what's on the other side of fear.
