Strategic Communication and Cross-Cultural Leadership Program for College Students
Since September 2018, Truly You has partnered up with NYU Silver to pilot a professional and leadership development program for Silver students of color and international students. The program helps students unpack their identity to gain clarity on their passions and purpose. The program also helps students navigate their social work graduate program experience, the job search process, professional communication, salary negotiation, and workplace discrimination.
Understanding Your Identity & Purpose
In this workshop, participants will define who they are and where they are going. Participants will identify and explore their unique brand (passions, strengths, skills, values, knowledge and experiences) to gain clarity on an ideal career path and to stand out in a competitive job market.
Presenting Your Best Self On Paper
In this workshop, participants will learn the tips and tricks to build a resume and cover letter that quantifies success, illustrates impact and articulates a compelling and authentic narrative. This workshop helps participants land their dream internship or job this year!
Overcoming Imposter Syndrome & Limiting Beliefs
In this workshop, participants will discuss what imposter syndrome is and unpack limiting beliefs holding them back from being their best selves.
Self Advocacy: Negotiating Compensation Packet
In this workshop, participants will work to unpack and overcome limiting beliefs about money.
Participants will learn how to advocate for themselves to make sure they are getting the best possible compensation package.
